The challenge with these cannabis and hemp certifications for training, diplomas and other credentials is that they never have a "test out option" for people who do not need to take the curriculum to pass the certification.
This is just like college where they do not respect autodidacts who are farther ahead then their contemporaries and don't allow them to test through so they can continue their studies where they actually reside in capacity.
This goes to show that the companies are not seeking to give people the ability to show their comprehension, they are seeking to trade paper certs for money.
Lastly, the idea of getting a college degree in cannabis is a big joke to me. It's academia to the tilt - the teachers are not experienced otherwise they would have jail time, probation records and probably a bankruptcy and/or failed credit if they did. How is someone going to teach you about something nobody has been able to do lest under tithing papers with a highly limited scope? This is the blind and deaf leading the inexperienced.
There are tons of people in academia who know about cannabis horticulture and this knowledge needs to be un-silo'd and released to the general public for consumption by anyone who wants it. To think these folks are going to stay in their ivory tower and have children take out bank loans so they can listen to them lecture is the height of ignorance.
In a sane world, High Schoolers will have a high level of horticultural and soil health knowledge, including how to practice regenerative farming. The notion that we are going to mint diploma holding idiots who have no experience who learned from academics with no experience is so post-consumer and post economy that one has to ask if this isn't a new form of colonization.
Due to living under continued prohibition, the licensed ecosystem for handling THC is nine/tenths compliance one / tenth problem solving with the green thumb.
Until we #EmancipateHorticulture, #Cannasapiens will suffer as refugees being held in an open air concentration society that creates victimless crimes, thus making us all criminals.
